Play Guitar! turns your Windows 8 machine into a virtual guitar. You can press and strum strings, just like a real guitar.
Play Guitar! helps you learn what notes lie on the frets of the guitar. It is a very useful tool for every aspiring guitarist.
Now, there are available an advanced chord editor and the possibility to use guitar capo (only for PRO users, In-app purchase)
The app is easy to use and light.

I love this game I have it on a dell phone too
Such a great app!
He dicho :P
Nice app. It would be great if we could specify the chord it returns to when no chord button is pressed - right now it seems a bit random.
Good Evening, I just wanted to add I got the free version of this app there are some great keys in it then got the full version but I was hoping the ability to record would be there as you know it can help greatly in music creation, basically you create tunes and then save them in wave or mp3 file and use them with some other software to make a complete song. Many other music apps in the store are also missing the same functionality of writing to file as song. I hope the creators of Music apps read this and work on in perhaps an update for this would be good. Perhaps a timeline feature which allows you to add different chords and then export the output song to a file would be good. Finally, as I said there are some great keys in there, I am sure you would appreciate how sleek and windows friendly this app is. Thank you
But it's free . . . .
it is good because it is relaxing and calm and makes me feel like am in a nother world like I am a bird flying so hi every thing is in hi definition / totly 5 stare
Great app but maybe in an update you cold add some more simple chords and songs marked with the notes and strings you need to play that aren't so hard for beginners!? But otherwise great app
Good but should give support for non-touch screen computers/laptops. Keyboard for holding the strings and click to strum. Should add capos too.
really good :))))
Its clean and great app! Song play option will be great!
need capo to slow using mouse keboard should have some interaction or inserting tabs to know how its suppose to sound like
Strumming after hanging chords will have some lags. Over all a nice app but the lags really ruin the experience
Works like a charm in my Samsung Slate. In the Free Play option the sound is so real when you move your finger even just a little bit.. the problem comes when we want to play without chord, the guitar position is centred to the middle of the screen which makes me hardly to reach the highest string. But it's a good app considering it's free!
I love play guitar its cool AND amazing I love you PLAY GUITAR!!!!!!!!!!!! It teaches me how to do it!! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEXXXXXXXXXXXXXCCCCCCCCCCCEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
you get a cool experience on guitars but sometimes it gets confusing.its hard to play a tune . I like freeplay. I like this app but the apps would be better if they had instructions. I think its good for children.most of the time it would be boring for parents
nyz 2 use
Its a really cool app and is so clever just like a normal guitar. U can also hold it like one of U turn it the way U would with a normal guitar!!
Nothing at all like playing a guitar. the only thing it would be used for is chords. maybe include a tunner for those of us who can play guitar. pretty average app
Grab a guitar and play it. This app is awkward and just not fun to play with
This looks great and the whole app is well executed BUT it is just too laggy on my Surface RT to be usable. I really want to play but it's just not smooth enough. Have checked the CPU and RAM while it's running and nothing is maxing out, so not sure why it doesn't work. Also tried a reboot. If this were only smoother so I could actually jam I'd give it 5 stars.
Good little app for passing some time. Adding effects like hand slaps on the wood could be a good addition. As well as inputting a tempo and allowing for a "play" mode to play your own cords back.
yes, I really like it, plus it gives me the chords! did not remember them but they are one tap away.
I love this app The free play is just awesome I've spent a few hours playing around the sound quality is great awesome app highly recommended
