the new just came out and I installed it but guess what when you install it the first thing that pops up is the ......PRICE OF IT!!!!!!! so I do not recommended this game if you have completed the first level of it. ENJOY :)

Disappointing
Most of the levels in this game do not involve any clever thinking, just pixel perfect aiming which is just a matter of trial and error. In short, it's not really worthy of being called a puzzle game.

Derivative, but fun. Needs improvements.
"OK, it's going to be like Angry Birds but - get this - with a WATERMELON". Brilliant! On my Lenovo tablet, I can't get enough "force" to complete some levels. I had to move to my laptop. It seems to be measuring force off pixels, not a relative scale? The game also lagged severely on some levels; it doesn't seem optimized for many of the tablets on the market. Still, it's a fun way to kill some time.

Controls don't work properly with a mouse
I gave this game about 5 minutes before giving up in fear of smashing my fist through the screen at the difficult to use mouse driven controls. I expect it would work ok with touch but control with a mouse is bordering on unusable.

amazing the graphics are good, the game idea is great, there is no lag on my computer (that could be because it is 6gb ram and people are complaining about lag with 2gb ram), some levels make you pause and think and the fire and some you need to be quick.

Hard, but it's frustrating when you can't get it!! Mortar Melon is a weird game and that's why I gave it only two stars out of a possible five.

Good, but performance issues
The game works really well on my desktop machine, smooth animations etc although using a mouse is a bit finicky. Another nice little touch is that your progress syncs across different devices. Unfortunately it doesn't work so well on my Surface RT, it's quite laggy. Apparently this is an HTML5 app, perhaps a bit more optimisation is needed to get it to run smoothly on ARM processors?

Nice graphics and peaceful music. Level 5 was not designed well however as the level resets whenever it goes above the viewing area. Other games have things come back down but this one unfortunately not.

Fun, relaxing game!
So far, I'm really enjoying the game. The controls can be a little tricky at first (using a mouse, haven't tried touch), but after a couple levels I got used to them. The sound effects and graphics are well done, and overall I simply found it relaxing to play. Thumbs up!
